PROF. WILLIAM HYNES (BSc, MRUP, MSc, MSc (Econ), PhD, MRICS, MSCSI, MRTPI, MIPI, MCILT) is a Chartered Urban and Transport Planner, a Chartered Surveyor, Urban and Transport Economist, and a founder (2010) and managing director of Future Analytics Consulting Ltd.
William has extensive experience leading significant planning and development projects, and providing expert advice to public and private sector clients in the following areas: strategic spatial planning, demography analysis and population projection, economic, socio-economic, housing, commercial, health and retail analysis, and transportation and infrastructure resilience planning.
Since 2011, William has been successful in winning 15 European Commission (EC) Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) and Horizon 2020 (H2020) Applied Research and Technological Development (RTD) Programme Projects both as a consortium partner and twice as the lead coordinator. These awarded projects have secured over €30m EC funding, and this has resulted in William being twice awarded as ‘Irish Champion of EU Research and Development’ by the Irish President and Enterprise Ireland.
William is a visiting Professor in the College of Business and Law at University College Cork, and a visiting lecture at University College Dublin and Dublin Institute of Technology.
